Coming from Supermetrics?

If you just switched to Metric Might after years of using Supermetrics, welcome! You are about to save a lot of time (and money).

Because Metric Might was built from the ground up to solve the specific bottlenecks of legacy reporting tools, a few things are going to look and feel different.

Here is how to translate your old Supermetrics muscle memory into Metric Might.

1. Where do I build my queries? (The Web UI vs. The Sidebar)

How you used to do it: In Supermetrics, you lived inside a clunky Google Sheets sidebar. Every time you clicked a dropdown to select a metric, you had to wait for the sidebar to communicate with their servers, load, and refresh.

How it works in Metric Might: We moved the heavy lifting out of the sidebar. You build and iterate on your queries in our full-screen Web UI, which features an embedded Google Sheets editor right next to your query builder.

  • No more context-switching.
  • No more waiting for a tiny sidebar dropdown to load.
  • Once your query is perfect, you can use our lightweight Google Sheets Extension to trigger manual refreshes without ever leaving your spreadsheet.

2. The Execution Loop (Instant vs. The Queue)

How you used to do it: You built a query, hit “Run,” and stared at a loading bar. Your request was sent to a massive server queue. If it was a Monday morning and thousands of other agencies were pulling reports, your query timed out and failed. You’d change one filter, hit run, and wait again.

How it works in Metric Might: Metric Might executes your manual queries directly from your browser’s front-end. There is no centralized queue. You don’t wait behind anyone else. When you hit “Run,” the data is fetched directly from the ad platform’s API and injected into your Sheet. Most queries return in under 3 seconds.

💡 The Iteration Habit
Because queries run instantly, you don't need to get it perfect on the first try. Map your basic metrics, hit Run, look at the output in the embedded Sheet, tweak a dimension, and hit Run again. You can iterate 10 times in the time it used to take to run one Supermetrics query.

3. Automation & Scheduling

How you used to do it: Scheduling a refresh felt like crossing your fingers. If the queue was backed up, your “8:00 AM” refresh might not finish until 10:30 AM.

How it works in Metric Might: Manual executions happen in your browser, but Automated Schedules run on our dedicated AWS Lambda backend. Once you finalize a query in the Web UI, simply toggle the schedule on. Because our infrastructure is incredibly lightweight, your daily and hourly refreshes happen predictably and reliably in the background—even if your computer is closed.

4. Connecting New Client Accounts

How you used to do it: You landed a new client! You went to connect their Facebook Ads account, only to hit a paywall because you exceeded your “Accounts per Data Source” limit. You had to email Sales, negotiate a new tier, and increase your monthly bill.

How it works in Metric Might: If you are on the Agency Plan ($99/mo), you have Unlimited Accounts per data source. Did you just sign 5 new clients? Great. Connect their Meta, Google, and TikTok accounts immediately. There are no hidden multipliers, no “Success Taxes,” and no need to ever talk to a sales rep to upgrade your limits.

⚠️ Solo Plan Note: If you are on the Solo Plan ($29/mo), you are capped at 5 accounts per data source. If you hit this limit, upgrading to the unlimited Agency Plan takes one click in your billing settings.
